Handheld Librarian Online Conference V - New Details

NEFLIN is hosting the Handheld Librarian Online Conference on July 27 and 28. Register with NEFLIN to attend at one of these host locations:

  • Jacksonville Public Library, University Park Branch, 3435 University Blvd N, Jacksonville
  • Seminole State College Library, 100 Weldon Blvd., Sanford
  • University of Florida, Smathers Library West, University Avenue, Gainesville
Day 1 (July 27) of the conference will feature professional development for librarians by librarians. See the schedule here (note: conference times there are listed in Central time zone). This is the grass-roots nature of our highly successful program. Handheld Librarian V will build on the success of prior conferences in which an array of presenters share their experiences and insights on topics addressing themes such as ebooks, location-based social networking, lending devices, reference and mobile technologies impacting society. You can see the quality of the content by looking through our past archives. In addition to the concurrent sessions, the conference’s keynote address will be delivered by Jolie O’Dell, Technology and Web Development Reporter at Mashable, and Editor and Publisher at Juniper Press.

Day 2 (July 28) will feature a virtual “Expo” of live presentations by companies and organizations providing mobile products and services for libraries, as well as virtual booths where you can stop in and visit in real-time in an informal setting with representatives from each company. See details of the Virtual Expo
here.

You can come for all or part of the two day event. Register with NEFLIN to attend at the location of your choice.
