Reader's Advisory Using Florida Electronic Library Resources

This online course will provide attendees with an overview of FEL's new resource Books & Authors which provides reader's advisory for children's, young adult, and adult fiction and non-fiction. Books & Authors is specially designed to complement the browsing habits of today's Web user, integrating easy-to-follow menus that allow users to broaden and narrow their searches according to author, title, series, awards and other criteria. At the same time, its meticulously edited database -developed by a team of genre experts - delivers up-to-date, reliable information. The instructor will demonstrate how to efficiently and effectively get the most out of Books &  Authors.

Invitation for NEFLIN members to attend a focus group

NEFLIN Members,   
You are invited to attend an upcoming focus group in your area.     

NEFLIN is a member-driven organization.  We support you, so you can give great service to your community.  Your needs, ideas, observations, dreams, visions, and success stories help shape NEFLIN's services.  We need your help to focus on  "Building and Connecting a Network of Bests".      

NEFLIN will be holding five focus groups around our region during March, April, and May to gather input from our members. This is one method we are using to learn where to put NEFLIN's resources as we develop our new Strategic Plan. 

. ...and to dispel the rumor that there is no free lunch, they were not talking about NEFLIN. A free lunch will be available for those attending the focus group sessions, along with a good amount of fun and learning.
