Things are moving very quickly in the library e-book space. Two developments to be aware of are the Internet Archive’s “OpenLibrary.org” and “E-Discover the Classics” a partnership including the Colorado Library Consortium(CLiC) and several Colorado libraries.
“OpenLibrary” allows folks to register and check out up to 5 books at a time. “E-Discover the Classics” provides libraries with MARC records that include links to the Project Gutenburg files.
