"Creating Effective Search Strategies" class offered again in March

A second "Creating Effective Search Strategies" class has been added to the Winter schedule after last week's class filled up with a waiting list.

Sometimes searching databases can be quite frustrating, you know the information is there but just can't find it. Come join us and learn about:

  • Identifying appropriate search terms
  • Combining search terms appropriately
  • Boolean or logical operators
  • Truncation and Wildcards
  • Proximity Operators
  • Limiting a search
  • Field searching
  • Troubleshooting failed searches

Participants will have an opportunity to practice what they learn about creating search strategies in the Florida Electronic Library databases and a variety of Internet search engines.

Trainer: Stephanie Race, NEFLIN
