On November 10, Lake City Community College broke ground on construction for their new library. Estimated to be completed in one year, the 37,000 square foot, $8 million contemporary brick building will be home to the library and media center and will incorporate many green environmental features.

Pictured below are Library Director Jim Morris speaking at the groundbreaking, and a rendering of the new building by Harvard-Jolly Architects.
