Driving Traffic to Your Website

I'm lounging at the Hampton Inn Ocala, eating warm chocolate chip cookies and reading the USA Today (which I only see in hotels). The math geek in me loves their Snapshot graphics, but what caught my eye was a technology article about driving traffic to your website by increasing your visibility in Google search results. It's an interview with Matt Cutts, Google engineer, and offers five tips for 'optimizing' your site -
  1. Spotlight your search term on the page
  2. Fill in your 'tags'
  3. Get other sites to 'link' back to you
  4. Create a blog and post often
  5. Register for free tools

It was an interesting read. Does your library show up in the top ten?
