On Wednesday 18 June, the NEFLIN Continuing Education Committee held its bi-monthly meeting. Discussion centered on the development of future NEFLIN offerings including equipment loans and OPAL web conferencing software, which NEFLIN has joined in collaboration with the Jacksonville Public Library and will soon make available for NEFLIN member libraries' use. Kate Holmes of JPL brought everyone up to date on the progress of implementing OPAL. In addition, the committee reviewed the Spring courses, previewed the Summer courses, and offered ideas for Fall and Winter courses. As always, NEFLIN seeks to offer a wide variety of courses that appeal to all departments of libraries and to all types of libraries. Among other topics were the committee's participation in the NEFLIN Annual Meeting scheduled for September 12 and the Annual Survey that will be launched in the fall. |
Thanks, Ed! Watch for more details on these and other upcoming NEFLIN projects.
