As a Florida SLA member I received an e-mail inviting me to help choose the book from among these three titles:
- Rethinking Information Work by G. Kim Dority
- Libraries and Google by William Miller and Rita M. Pellen
- The Dip: A Little Book That Teaches You When to Quit (and When to Stick) by Seth Godin
After a few days I received an e-mail that "The Dip" by Seth Godin was chosen by the group. We received a link to a website where, after May 20, we can begin to post our thoughts on this book.
Could you see this as something you can do with your staff or patrons?

The small libraries in East Texas used this method of online programming to include their rural and homebound patrons into the library community. It was very cost-effective and well received by their patrons.
Thanks for sharing info about this! Something similar is happening in Kansas at http://intersections.nekls.org. I think different places will approach it in different ways so would love to be able to follow the FL discussion if possible. Do you know if the site with the discussion will be open to anyone? Or will it just be for FL SLA members?
